Machine Learning is the field of computer science that gives "computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed". From simple classification and regression methods, it evolved to a sophisticated field which requires fundamental statistical and optimization knowledge. Machine Learning skill implies knowledge of R/Python, classification, prediction, ranking methods, feature engineering and business problem understanding. Often it also requires Big Data manipulation tools understanding, including Scala and Apache Spark.
