Monitoring and Quality Assurance (QA) are important for both hardware and software bug detection and prevention. Good monitoring notifies about increases in memory consumption, CPU usage or low available disk space. It often indicates possible bugs in the application, especially if it has memory leaks. On the other side, new application features should not break already implemented ones, hence regression tests are important. This skill requires test plan design, execution, and test metric tracking.
